Process Design Services, Vessels + Systems

AntiMercure® Process Engineering Service: we design systems for mercury removal from water. ConstantGuardTM Process Engineering Service: we design systems for oil removal from water.

To help Clients meet their contaminant removal needs, we select the adsorbent media, the proper vessel size & vessel features to provide the required contaminant removal efficiency & media life. For relatively low-flow-rate, low-pressure situations, we recommend Standard Size Vessels. For higher flow-rates, we have Pre-Engineered, Skid-Mounted Systems. We also custom-design pressure-vessels as-needed to meet client’s requirements & we work with the fabricator to ensure that dimensions & features are correct.

Standard-Size Adsorption Vessels

Our Standard-Size Vessels are strong, relatively low-cost, and are available in several sizes. The 55-gallon & 110-gallon-size drum-adsorbers are rated for up to 5 psig. Our larger vessels, with I.D. of 3, 4, & 5 feet, are rated to 75 psig & each has an integral steel skid.

MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION

 Carbon Steel

Standard: Epoxy coated inside, Enamel coated outside

 Stainless Steel

 Single Vessel

Requires Shut-Down to Change-Out (Recharge) Media

 Series-Flow, Permanent

 Requires Shut-Down to Change-Out Media

 Series-Flow, Lead-Guard

Allows Continuous Operation, Recharge 1 bed w/ 1 bed still “on”

 Parallel Flow

2 or more vessels: gives operational flexibility

 Permanent Adsorption
 (Non-Regenerative)

Adsorbent media is replaced when it is saturated with the
contaminant. Long Adsorbent Life is typical with contaminant
concentration in the ppB range. Minimal Operator Attention Required.

 Regenerative Adsorption
 (Recover Contaminant)

Examples: Natural Gas Dryers, Hydrocarbon Liquid Dryers, & solvent
recovery systems typically use regenerative systems.

 Skid-Mounted

Complete System for Air or Water Treatment: Fans/Pumps, Valves & Controls

CAUTION: Wet activated carbon removes oxygen from air. Thus, an asphyxiation hazard exists inside enclosed spaces containing activated carbon. Use appropriate safety precautions when entering vessels or other enclosed spaces containing activated carbon. Exposure to strong acids and oxidizers can cause formation of toxic H2S gas.
